Osho Dynamic Meditation: The Journey Within

Osho Dynamic Meditation breaks down the barriers to traditional meditation by using movement and mantra to promote catharsis. Divided into five stages, this hour-long exercise energizes and raises awareness in the body. The first stage focuses on chaotic breathing and movement, followed by catharsis and vocal release in the second stage. The third stage involves jumping while shouting a mantra to unburden the body and prepare for the next step. In the fourth stage, observers freeze and witness their body and mind, with no movement, desire, or distraction allowed. Finally, in the fifth stage, participants celebrate through dance and music, carrying the positivity with them throughout the day. This active meditation provides a pathway to establish effortless meditation and reveal the world of the Tao and the Dharma in oneself.

Osho Active Meditations

The Osho Active Meditations consist of three different techniques, each with their own unique approach.

The Osho Kundalini Meditation is the sister meditation to the Dynamic one and has four 15-minute stages. During the shaking stage, you shake your entire body to allow your energy to move up from your feet. The dance stage is all about moving freely without interference from the mind. The third stage requires complete stillness, and in the fourth stage, you lie down with your eyes closed.

The Osho Nataraj Meditation is a one-hour-long technique that centers on dancing. The first stage is 40 minutes of free-flowing dancing with your eyes closed. In the second stage, you lie down and are completely still with your eyes still closed. The final stage is five minutes of expressing your joy and celebrating.

Finally, the Osho Nadabrahma Meditation is recommended to be done early in the morning on an empty stomach. It consists of three stages. During the first stage, you hum loudly while listening to the vibrations it creates. During the second stage, you move your hands in circular motions. Finally, you are still and quiet for 15 minutes.

Overall, these cathartic techniques allow people to release tension and emotions to achieve a deeper state of meditation and awareness.
